THE SOOTHESAYER INTERNET NEWSLETTER
September 2011
Full Moon is at 19 degrees Pisces 17 minutes square the Nodes on
September 12th; New Moon at 4 degrees of Libra opposition
Uranus and square Pluto on September 27th.
Wild fluctuations and New Frontiers:
Last month’s wild fluctuations that included an East Coast earthquake,
an Atlantic hurricane, and stock and commodity markets flailing about,
reminded us of the ancient Chinese Curse: “May you live in interesting
times!”
Mercury will oppose Neptune one more time on the 9th pointing
to more high winds and weather extremes. Venus will be inconjunct
Neptune between the 14th and the 15th and Mars
will be inconjunct Neptune between the 16th and the 17th.
We are being made aware that uncertainty is around every corner, whether
it is the economy, the climate, or the very earth on which we walk.
Although painful, this all points to the evolutionary changes we need to
make in the world and it instructs us that the only real peace resides
deep within ourselves.
9/11
Accompanying the solemn ceremonies around the 10th
anniversary of 9/11, will be an acute awareness of the cost of endless
wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, plus military special ops teams moving to
kill “enemies” within many other nations around the world. We will have
to recognize that our reaction to this historic tragedy has created a
greater tragedy.
We will also have to face the facts pointing to our nation’s failing
economy and global policies. We are now staring into the face of a
nation divided, as ideological extremes are rearing their heads at a
time when we most need unity of purpose. Instead members of Congress
are viciously attacking the president while the Supreme Court has become
an extension of the power of transnational capitalists who now possess
and control about 90% of the world’s money. The U.S. has just
experienced transiting Saturn returning to its natal Saturn in Libra,
the sign of justice, and we are seeing that, at present, “the people”
are finding no justice.
The Economy:
With Venus transiting the “jobs” sign of Virgo this month, Pres. Obama
is revealing a package of proposals designed to “create” more jobs. He
has appointed Princeton Professor Alan Krueger as his economic guru,
whose specialty is labor. Ironically, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, also
from Princeton, was a specialist in The Great Depression. The
Republicans will do everything in their power to clobber any legislation
to this effect and the Robber Barons will fight to continue their
practice of off-shoring jobs, avoiding taxation by off-shoring their
bank accounts, ensuring the continuance of tax loopholes, and financing
candidates that keep their status quo in place.
Again, this month will see stocks and commodities seesaw way up and way
down with the opposition, once again, of Mercury to Neptune. The
nations of the European Union will continue their downward spiral.
Investors will hop in and hop out of stocks, gold, oil and commodities
in their desperation to grab whatever wealth they can, while derivatives
trades will be bigger than ever and thereby create greater risk of
massive losses.
We are in the process of a great shift in our thinking about global
economics and will eventually return to local economies that can be more
effectively controlled by democratic forces. This will take years to
evolve and will do so by necessity. Many people will suffer
bewilderment and confusion at this time as Neptune has returned to the
U.S. Moon in Aquarius until Feb. 4th, 2012. Others will tap
into a sense of spiritual “oneness” and detach themselves from the
mechanistic/materialistic/ narcissistic world that governs economies now
and is in the process of disintegrating.
The Middle East and their Revolutions
As Mercury (the messenger) in Leo has been hitting squares in its chart,
Israel is struggling with fighting along its borders while the Israeli
public is demonstrating against its leadership as their economy is
largely benefitting the elite upper classes and they are seeing their
foreign policies fail before uncertainties in Arab nations. Libyan
rebels are winning the war and are likely to take over more this month
as Saturn is trine their natal Saturn. Syria’s civil war is longer and
more difficult as atrocities are being committed by the Assad
government, inflaming the rebels. The charts of Jordan and Morocco are
being activated this month but are unlikely to erupt into major
revolutions. Saudi Arabia is suffering from a series of their planets
in Capricorn being squared by transiting Saturn as more information is
being released about their participation in 9/11 and the split in their
nation between the controlling royals, the oil interests, and members of
fundamentalist Islam.
Weather and Global Tectonics:
As those of you know who have been reading my book and this newsletter,
astrologers have been predicting this cycle of weather extremes and
earthquake/volcano eruptions years in advance. I did not predict the
earthquake on the east coast last month, because I had no previous
planetary references (past earthquakes) in which this type of event
occurred. Scientists are also amazed that this epicenter, just outside
Mineral, Virginia was not on a traditional fault line and they are still
scratching their heads and attempting to study what happened. Mercury
was opposed Neptune last month and the earthquake took place as the Sun
passed its opposition with Neptune and Hurricane Irene moved itself up
the east coast. Mercury will oppose Neptune again this month between
the 8th and the 9th, again at a critical 29
degrees. Along with the aspects I mentioned above that are highly
unstable, I would expect more critical tectonic and extreme weather
events this month. September 6th, Venus (often associated
with earthquake activity) will be square the nodes and will be
inconjunct Neptune between the 14th and the 15th.
The Maya Long Count:
Many students of the Mayan calendar and its complex astrological
traditions are now claiming that the real end of the Long Count is
October 28th, 2011. It would seem that nature is fulfilling
the prophesy that the world and its structures of civilization are
changing before us in a very profound sense, ending a cycle of just
under 5200 years. Fossil fuels that have powered modern society are now
either running low or revealing their dangers, following the BP oil
eruption in the Gulf and the Fukushima nuclear plant disaster after the
earthquake and tsunami in Japan. As the earth shakes, volcanoes erupt,
floods devastate, and droughts destroy food chains, those of us left
standing are witnesses to what would appear to be the end of the world.
In all the great ages of destruction on earth, new forms of life have
arisen. The total destruction of the dinosaurs resulted in the rise of
mammals and our own species. Out of the Ice Age, humans learned new
technologies and developed new mental capacities, giving rise to modern
man. The old term: “necessity is the mother of invention” contains a
profound truth.
A Personal Sharing:
I would like to share with you my own experiences at this pivotal
time. A cascade of personal historic memories has washed over me with
all its grief, losses, joys and bewilderments. Many of my loved ones
have passed away in recent years, including beloved animals, just as the
world I have always known is fading away.
All of this seems to be moving into irrelevance in the face of an
entirely new sense of being in the eternal present. As my old
experience of life on earth is diminishing, the obstructed universe is
disappearing as are harsh judgments. All the while, a deep internal
energy is expanding into a great light that I am feeling within myself
and seeing around others.
Some of my closest friends have touched me deeply by telling me that
everything they thought was real and invested with life and motivation
is dissolving before their eyes. Their hearts are opening with a love
of such a nature they have never seen or felt before. Fear and
trepidation appear and then, with a deep breath of peace, disappear. As
we share these intimacies with each other, we are participating in a
confirmation that a miracle is happening, is here, and has arrived on
time.
Welcome to the New World!
