THE SOOTHESAYER
INTERNET
September 2006
There are two eclipses this
month in degrees of the Zodiac that are interestingly similar.
The first is a lunar eclipse on
the 7th at 15 degrees of Pisces (conjunct Uranus) and the second is on
the 22nd at 29 degrees of Virgo.
Referring to Martin Goldsmith’s
book, “The Zodiac by Degrees” 15 degrees of Pisces is described: “A
soldier in tattered clothing takes aim during rifle practice, but has
trouble keeping his mind off personal matters.” The symbol for 29
degrees of Virgo is: “A writer, unable to work because a group of
hoodlums is blasting a radio on the street, pulls out a pistol and walks
to the window. Thinking better of it, he puts the pistol away and sets
off to find a quieter place.”
The world and its people are
weary of war and violence. There are no winners and no apparent
solutions to the global conflicts that evoke ancient suicidal behaviors
that continue to haunt humankind. The chaos and violence continuing into
this month leaves us with a growing disgust for our leadership and the
sheer stupidity of its reasoning, i.e., if it didn’t work, let’s just do
it harder! The failure to be even remotely effective at restoring New
Orleans points to a government of unqualified persons heading up
agencies whose funds have been cut so that we can finance tax breaks for
the upper two percent of the population and can endlessly finance the
endless war in Iraq producing endless deficits.
In July, the progressed Mars in
the chart of the U.S.A. went retrograde at 18 degrees of Libra. This
bodes very badly for the United States to be engaged in any kind of war
for many years to come. It is imperative that we instead move away from
being a military “superpower” and instead become peacemakers, and true
representatives of a democratic way of life. This means the Libran
scales of equality of opportunity and under a rule of law. It means
dialogue and dissent that is aired openly. It means returning
(retrograde) to the values of our forefathers whose visionary ideals may
someday change the world.
The Economy:
Last month’s news about growing
economic inequities, the failure of the healthcare system, etc. led
financial markets into limbo, as the Cabal made sure there would be no
excessive selling. I don’t think they will be able to control things as
effectively this month. As predicted, gold, oil, and commodities in
general came down. I am actually encouraged that gold did not go a lot
lower. This shows the strength of this sector over the long haul. As the
dollar falls, it is better to be in non-dollar assets. The T-square of
Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune at the end of the month is bearish as our
excesses in spending come home to roost!
The choice Fed Chair Ben Bernanke
has to make is to raise interest rates again and crash the already
deflating real estate market or not raise rates and allow the dollar to
fall. I think he will choose the latter as the lesser of two evils. The
powers-that-be are obviously holding the price of oil down s the
elections loom on the horizon.
Last March’s eclipses are
activated this month, pointing to the ongoing problems with illegal
alien immigration and the loss of decent jobs and benefits. Again,
safety of our borders and ports comes into question.
World Affairs:
Eclipse activations of the charts
of Iran, No. Korea, The Republic of China and Russia are intensifying
the debate about Iran’s defiant insistence on continuing its nuclear
policies. The United Nations will have difficult decisions to make this
month as the U.S. pushes for sanctions and these other nations feel the
pressures. North Korea may do something this month to get our attention.
The chart of Mexico is activated this month with more conflicts over who
won the last election. There may be earthquake activity here. Jupiter,
Saturn and Neptune collide with each other at the end of the month,
making matters in Israel worse and evoking changes in leadership.
Weather & Travel:
Stormy weather escalates between
the 1st and the 12th Earthquake activity may increase toward the second
half of the month. The weekend of the 23rd may be your best time to
travel.
Astronomers change planetary
status:
Recently, astronomers proclaimed
that our old friend (enemy) Pluto is no longer accorded full planetary
status and instead has been “fired” as a CEO and demoted to “dwarf
planet”. If that isn’t humiliation enough, Ceres (who was previously
merely a humble asteroid) is now equal to Pluto and has been promoted to
“dwarf planet”.
Ceres, the ancient Goddess of
Grains and the Harvest is blissfully enjoying her new status because of
the rise in the market for ethanol and the public’s recognition that we
had better save the environment or we will all starve. Pluto, the God of
the Underworld, has lost his cover and is now being recognized as the
reigning Plutocracy whose greed and misuse of power will likely bring
down the global economy. He and Neptune together rule oil, whose leaders
are getting a bad name lately and whose fluctuations in price are highly
suspicious, moving nations to take up solar and windmill technologies.
Not being a very nice guy, he is also associated with nuclear weapons
that the world can no longer rationalize or justify. This old Mafia Don
is in trouble! He now has to share the boardroom with a Nature Goddess
and equality of the sexes has never been his strong point since he
specializes in rape and abduction.
Take it from me, this is a good
sign!! Hope springs eternal that humanity may be ready to overthrow the
bad guys currently in power and elevate people (especially the ladies)
who want to eliminate poverty, feed the world, work in concert with
nature, and save the planet. Could we be voting for life instead of
death?
Stay tuned!
