November 2006
This is a month
that is reflective of conflict, confusion, and clashes among people in
powerful positions throughout the world. The arc of the full moon in
the 13th degree of Taurus on the 5th through the new moon in the 29th
degree of Scorpio is a sad reminder that whoever has the cash has the
power for these are the astrological signs of personal and collective
ownership and finance. We are a very long way from a government “by the
people and for the people”.
The
Elections:
Mercury is
retrograde this month until the 18th. On Election Day, it conjuncts
Venus with both square to Neptune, the planet of confusion and
deception. My take on this is that there will be breakdowns and
subterfuge connected with computerized voting. My advice would be to
vote by “absentee” paper ballot and watch carefully your local voting
apparatus. Those groups who have been intimidated in the past need to
get out there and exercise your right to vote. This is your power and
it is important to use it!
We already know
that previous elections have been “thrown”. We may actually not know
who won the Congressional seats until after the 18th. Mercury’s direct
station will square Pres. Bush’s Mercury/Pluto conjunction, symbolizing
intensely controversial actions on his part with regard not only to the
devastating war in Iraq, but his plans to possibly invade Iran. This
act would be disastrous for the global economy, as Iran would likely
retaliate by joining up with other oil nations such as Venezuela to stop
selling oil to the U.S.A., raising oil prices through the stratosphere.
Hopefully, someone somewhere will stop the insanity!
Weapons of
Mass Deception:
The
Saturn/Neptune opposition that began in August this year and will make
its last aspect on June 25th of ’07 points to government lies and
deceptions on every level. Laws that are on the books are likely being
ignored by the SEC. This makes it a free-for-all of non-accountability
in the investment world, especially connected with the hundreds of
trillions of dollars in derivative trades that stoke the fires in the
global roulette-wheel economy. It should be of vital interest to all
of us that David M. Walker, Controller General of the United States
Government Accountability Office will be touring the nation, speaking
wherever he can between now and the 2008 elections. His message is that
the escalating giant Federal budget deficits are leading us on an
absolutely disastrous course. Walker is in an appointed office that
does not need your vote and he will have his job until 2013. Therefore
his only agenda is getting the truth out to the public-at-large.
It is
important to understand that the transit of Pluto in Sagittarius has
contributed to giving global corporations the right to outsource the
jobs to cheap labor abroad, especially to countries like China who have
few, if any environmental laws; get away with giant tax breaks
(especially the oil companies who are not even investing in their
dangerously broken down infrastructures); and pay off the U.S.
legislature to pass laws that are transferring all the wealth out of the
accounts of the struggling tax-paying Middle Class into their own
pockets.
Scorpio is a
sign associated with detective work and exposure of crime, cover-ups,
and hidden agendas. It is time for the people in the U.S.A. to come out
of their collective coma and reclaim their country!
The Economy:
Last month, the
market simply rose or fell only slightly, no matter how much bad news
was announced. The housing market fell 10% from a year ago; the largest
drop in 35 years. The trade deficits continue to escalate downward, the
budge deficits are record-breaking, real wages are falling, while the
upper 2% in income are happy indeed! We know the Middle Class is
becoming extinct as the nation is falling into the category of what has
been called the “working poor”. Family debt now exceeds family assets.
More than 45 million people cannot afford health insurance. So-called
global trade has enabled corporations to outsource millions of jobs to
third world labor. We have now created caste systems in this nation
that are so separated from one another that there is a total
disconnect. Consumer confidence is falling and the guys on Wall Street
simply can’t understand why!
The dollar’s
fall combined with investor’s pessimism is helping to bring gold up this
month. However, as I have said many times before, 2008 will be the year
when gold will likely make substantial moves upward. Things are so
serious that simply trying to pay the interest on our budget deficits
could bankrupt the economy. My take is that the Feds will simply give
up on inflation and print dollars to deal with the debt. Eventually,
interest rates will rise of their own accord, but for the time being, I
think the Federal Reserve will not raise rates.
While the
astrological aspects can predict the good or bad news, the ability of
most of us to predict buying or selling in the market has been severely
curtailed. This is because the “cabal” is busy manipulating the market
to suit their dark purposes and fool the public into thinking the
economy is in great shape. The public won’t think so this month. There
will be fairly dramatic fluctuations this month and the many crises
coming to a head may take the market to a low. However, there will be
enough good news in December to suggest a frothy Bull Market. Jupiter
goes into Sagittarius on Nov. 25th and will be there until it conjuncts
Pluto at 29 degrees of Sagittarius in December of 2007. This is similar
to the period between 1928 and 1929 historically. By the Autumn of
2007, we will likely be in a recession. By 2010 we will be experiencing
a Depression.
The Iraq
War, Iran, and the Mess in the Middle East:
The collection
of planets in Scorpio (the Sun, Mercury Venus, Mars and Jupiter) have or
are forming squares with Neptune (illusion) and Saturn (the
establishment. The war in Iraq will worsen because nobody has a clear
plan about how to exit or undo even a fraction of the damage. Nearly
3,000 American soldiers have died and about 20,000 have been gravely
wounded. According to The Lancet Medical Journal (undertaken by
investigators at Johns Hopkins and MIT along with Baghdad’s Mustansiriya
University School) estimated about 655,000 Iraqis have perished since
the war began. More information will likely “leak out” this month
I am deeply
concerned that Pres. Bush will try to instigate something in Iran
between now and the end of Feb. ’07. The Scorpio lineup cuts deeply
into the chart of Israel bringing extremists to the surface and somehow
restructuring the government and the political parties. Scorpio is a
sign associated with nuclear power and nuclear weapons.
No. Korea:
No. Korea has
recently made overtures to China and other nations to have “talks”
concerning their development of nuclear weapons. Their chart shows them
in desperate straits economically and they need to “negotiate” with
somebody. Their government is in trouble this month with the Scorpio
planets square their Pluto and their Saturn. They get their Saturn
return in Aug. of 07 and there is a solar eclipse on their Sun in
September of 07. Kim Jong Il, their sociopath dictator may be in real
trouble within his own ranks. Will this push him over the edge? We
will see.
Weather,
Earthquakes, and the Environment:
Nov. 7th
through the 18th and Nov. 28th through Dec. 5th are especially difficult
for stormy weather and earth instabilities. There was a major
earthquake in Hawaii recently when Mercury was square Neptune. It is
doing it twice this month. We had extreme storms and high winds across
the nation and a terrible wildfire in California. There was also a
severe fire in a British Petroleum oil refinery in Texas. This is a
month to be extremely careful with regard to travel plans.
Good News:
Between Nov.
18th and the 22nd, there may be some technological breakthrough in areas
related to energy ( magnet motors?) and medicine (a new drug?). In
spite of the fact there has been little or no publicity here in the
U.S.A., inventors throughout the world are coming up with ideas to end
our dependency on fossil fuels. Let’s see if this month brings us some
breakthrough in this area.
Final
Thoughts:
As I watch the
planets in their magnificent motion through the great constellations,
foretelling our struggles, our tragedies and our triumphs, I am reminded
that an intrinsic astrological concept is that humankind is here not
just to endure but to evolve. All of these events will inform us if we
listen; will help us if we reach out, will heal us if we decide to
embrace the person next to us.
I am really
touched by the books, articles and newsletters that are being published
recently. So many people are summoning the courage to tell the truth
while the truth may still be told. These people are passionate about
the survival and progress of our civilization. They believe that we
have got what it takes to face our failures, repair the damage, and
create a new kind of life on earth, invested with a quality and
resonance we have yet to understand.
And so do I...
