Previews of Coming Distractions!

This month’s features are the Mars direct motion in Leo on March 10^th, the New Moon in Pisces conjunct Mercury and Uranus on the 15^th, and the Full Moon in Libra square the U.S. Jupiter/Sun and widely square transiting Pluto on the 30^th.

The economy is the issue everybody wants addressed, fixed, reformed, remodeled, and saved.  This administration is focused on “fixing” healthcare.  They need to get something written into law this month or giant battles over this issue will be raised again March through July under the Saturn/Uranus opposition.

Distracting attention from the economy, the direct Mars on March 10th will call attention to wars, both active and looming ahead.  As I have mentioned in past newsletters, this moves to prominence in the chart of Israel and suggests a tendency toward more aggressive action with the Palestinians and the nation of Iran, whose national chart is hit by the New Moon conjunct Uranus.  Mars direct in Leo stirs up Pres. Obama’s chart pointing toward the intensification of war activities in Afghanistan and the border regions of Pakistan.  In addition, there will be a tendency to put further pressure on Iran to divest itself of any nuclear weapons capabilities. Meanwhile, Iran is still being confronted with a revolution within its own borders. These wars are costing big bucks and are often left out of conversations with our elected officials.  Instead, they would rather cut Medicare and Social Security than cut back on the humongous cost of war whose reasons are still absolutely unclear to most of us!  Go figure.

The Full Moon also hits the chart of Haiti, pointing to more crises and earthquake activity in the region, suggesting complications with all the helping agencies there, all combined with local political issues getting in the way of the help so badly needed.  Last month’s earthquake in Japan and 8.8 (on the Richter Scale) earthquake in Chile illustrates what I have been predicting on this site for a long time.  We are in a critical cycle of earth instabilities and movements through 2015.  The chart of this earthquake (Feb. 27, 2010, 3:34 AM AST, Santiago, Chile) shows Pluto on the Ascendant square Saturn and Mercury and Chiron conjunct Neptune with an applying opposing Moon in Leo.  I am tracking crises in Indonesia this year, since Pluto is conjunct their natal sun, square Saturn and hit by squares from Jupiter and Uranus in June.  In addition, The Guardian Unlimited reported on Feb. 26^th that a giant Antarctic iceberg the size of Luxembourg, broke off the Mertz glacier, with possible implications for global ocean circulation.

Mars has been in the sign of Leo since Oct. 17^th, 2009, retrograded Dec. 20^th,  and transits through the sign until June 7^th.  Many Leos have been confronted with medical issues and surgeries during this time period, including famous Leo, former Pres. Bill Clinton and former VP Dick Cheney, whose sun in Aquarius is opposition Pluto in Leo.  Pres. Obama is a Leo who needs to be more careful of his health and safety during this period as well.

The congressman from Texas, Ron Paul, is a Leo who has been protesting the combined powers of the government and the corporations to shape our destinies.  We may see more of him this month.

We are marching toward an intensification of the global economic crises, earth changes, and weather extremes that are hitting very hard between April and August of this year, with the June 26^th Lunar Eclipse conjunct Pluto at the “eye of the storm”.  In the U.S. these events are more likely to take place on Hawaii, and the West Coast; i.e. Washington, Oregon, and California.  The severity of these events has yet to be determined.

The Economy:

Normally, March tends to make bottoms and form trend reversals upward in the stock market, but this month is difficult to determine because we are dealing with Mars and Uranus being emphasized.  Uranus often represents chaos and unpredictability, two things the market does not like.  Manipulation from behind the scenes interferes with normal cycles.  There will be trend reversals but less likely to be long term than short term.  This applies to Comex gold as well.  Global currency crises would tend to favor people buying gold for safety, but there has been a fleeing to the dollar as a reflex action.  The dollar is not safe any more as our expanding national debt grows and the Fed has to print money to pay its bills.  Oil prices are rising again.  It is difficult for the Cabal to control things this month.  I would expect whip-lash ups and downs in the markets.

The New Moon on the 15^th conjunct Uranus suggests more scandals breaking in the financial sectors, more foreclosures in housing and commercial real estate, and more jobs being lost.  With the refusal of this administration to take on breaking up the banking monopolies in any meaningful way, it may be time to consider doing what No. Dakota, our most economically stable state, has done; that is, to create a state bank, free of  Wall Street’s giant private investment banks whose habits are to speculate themselves into bankruptcy.  I recommend an article by Ellen Brown written Feb. 17^th, 2010 on www.webofdebt.com entitled: A Growing Number of Candidates Campaign for State-Owned Banks.  This is what I call thinking “out of the box” and would fulfill my prophecy that we will get “ruthlessly local” in solving our economic crises.

Weather:

March 4^th through 11^th emphasizes all the Pisces transits to Jupiter and Uranus, suggesting more clouds, rain, and snow.  This has been a tough winter, especially since the Jan. 15^th Solar Eclipse conjunct Venus had set the tone for cold and wet!  Also watch Venus square Pluto on the 12^th for earthquake activity and severe storms.  Trips are better put off until the end of the month due to so many weather instabilities.

Final Thoughts:

Since my recent interview on Coast to Coast Radio with George Noory, the heavens have opened up and I have been contacted by numerous new people from all over the world  and from all walks of life.  It is absolutely heartening to hear the penetrating insights and intelligent observations coming from these people, who have definitely not been “sitting out” this crisis- riddled era by sticking their heads in the sand.  My faith in humanity has been greatly enhanced by these conversations.  History has always been changed by a strong minority of people who are passionately committed to their goals, whether they are selfish and destructive, or generous and regenerating.  Nobody is unimportant in this mission.

There are two decisions that can move us out of the heart of darkness.  The first is to reject fear.  It is human to feel afraid and it is divine to move your psyche away from fear and into a place of peace.  The second is to unleash a passion for the greater good.  This passion cannot be cultish narcissism (we are saved and the rest of you are doomed), but a willingness to feel a profound respect for the endless possibilities that exist in the universe and within the boundless loves and joys of human nature.

The next step in human evolution will not be a booming, authoritative voice from above, but a gradual, quiet awakening from the root system below in the forest, by the lake, just before dawn, when we look up at the constellations that have guided us and will follow us through the infinite corridors of time.
