Lunations:  July 1^st, New Moon Solar Eclipse at 9 degrees Cancer in a Grand Cardinal Square to Uranus, Saturn and Pluto, July 15^th Full Moon at 22 degrees of Capricorn, July 30^th New Moon at 7 degrees of Leo.

America the Corporate State:

The most recent in a long line of decisions for the corporations by the Supreme Court has ruled that extremely violent video games must be allowed to be openly sold so as not to violate “freedom of speech”.  Last year’s shocking decision in the Citizens United case decided that corporations can spend limitless amounts of money to finance or advertise their preferred candidate in any election and not be obliged to reveal their identities.  Their rationale:  another example of “freedom of speech”.  Previous decisions claim a “corporation” has the same rights as a “person” who, by the way in actuality, has limitations imposed upon how much he/she could spend on a candidate.  Last month, The Supremes ruled against the Walmart female employees who sued the company for wage sexual discrimination, saying this big a class action suit was too large and complex to win.  The Roberts Court has never met a corporation they do not love.

Banksters Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Chase were recently found guilty of fraud and received fines a little over $300 million, which is a “slap on the wrist”; a small portion of the bonuses awarded their top brass last year.  Although gold trading is being removed from the Forex this month, derivatives trading world-wide is still rolling along at hundreds of trillions of dollars.  Corporate and billionaires’ tax obligations are still being off-shored and sheltered while the budget deficit threatens to shut down the government.  The Republicans are screaming for more cuts resulting in hundreds of thousands of govt. workers, teachers, fire fighters, police, etc. being laid off.  They want to reduce or eliminate Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare.  According to Global Research, article by Dean Henderson June 1, 2011, “The Four Horsemen of Banking (Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo) are the top ten stock holders of virtually every Fortune 500 corporation”.  For the past thirty years, they have been outsourcing the labor force to cheap labor abroad where there are no environmental laws.  All these tax breaks that were supposed to create jobs have only stimulated hiring and investment abroad, not here.  These “people” are primarily responsible for this global economic meltdown and ensuing depression.  They hold about 55% of this nation’s so-called wealth and are mostly “tax exempt”.  The nation’s outrageous debt crisis is a revenue crisis which is, in large part, created by the corporate and banking monopolies.

Corporations vs. Ecological Disasters:

This month’s partial Solar Eclipse is another resembling the Lunar Eclipse of June 2010 conjunct Pluto that I call “the Chernobyl Eclipse” and I have predicted that this one will hit the U.S.  The record breaking Midwest flood waters have now inundated nuclear plants in Nebraska, forcing them to shut down and are reminding us of the recent Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan which, by the way,  is a system designed by General Electric.  This nuclear meltdown, referred to as “the world’s worst industrial disaster” continues to threaten health and safety in Japan and has affected the Northwestern United States.  It is still ongoing, with many more consequences likely to come.   Our addiction to fossil fuels and their grave dangers as illustrated by last year’s BP oil eruption in the Gulf, the “fracking” for natural gas in Pennsylvania and New York that is seriously threatening aquifers, and decaying nuclear plants who threaten to contaminate their locations are all rearing their ugly heads just as peak oil is being reached worldwide.  The Associated Press recently revealed that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is working with the nuclear corporations to weaken safety standards to keep aging reactors within the rules.  The giant oil and gas corporate cartels are benefitting from tax breaks and government subsidies.  The Republicans in Congress are lobbying to cut any benefits to solar, windmill, and wave technologies that would take us toward energy independence and a green economy.   Meanwhile, the record breaking wildfires that have encompassed Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico are threatening the Los Alamos Nuclear Lab.

Cognitive Dissonance:

The terms “climate change” or “global warming” have been criticized extensively by the extreme right wing in this nation as bogus, imaginary, and used by all these “rich scientists” as a means to get richer.  I wonder if these guys and gals make more money than the CEOs and banksters.  Could that group of guys at the South Pole measuring melting glaciers be wallowing in cash?   Could these climatologists at Woods Hole and the meteorologists working for the U.S. Navy be involved in off-shored tax shelters for the millions they make every year?  Are you chuckling right now?

There is a term to describe a state of denial of reality that results when information is really fearful and overwhelming.  It is called “cognitive dissonance”… think of the fabled ostrich with its head in the sand.  When I published my book “What Next” in June of 2007, I had been warning of an economic collapse, a global climate crisis, a cycle of increased volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, and a challenge to our democracy in my newsletters for about 20 years.  Except for a few friends and long time clients, most people simply labeled me as a kook, astrology as bogus, or simply stated they “did not want to know”.  The majority of the predictions I made in my book either have already happened or are happening right now.  My major indicators of the issues and themes we have to face are in planetary placements.  My major sources were scientists, journalists, economists, other astrologers (for timing), and intelligent commentators from all over the world, most of who confirmed what I deduced.  I cannot take credit for being a “great psychic” or “prophet” or anything else other than an ordinary person with the curiosity to do the research, and the understanding that we must have the guts to face the looming truths of our existence, that we must take responsibility for what we have done, and we must have the faith that the solutions to the critical issues of our times are available both from without and within ourselves.  I am reminded of an old advertisement from the American Dental Association:  “Ignore your teeth and they will go away”.  Instead of cognitive dissonance, we need to move into cognitive resonance.

The Economy:

This month, the lunar nodes are square the U.S. Neptune and transiting Mars in Gemini will conjunct the South Node on July 23^rd.  The trillion dollar war in Afghanistan, the longest war in our history, is one of the reasons this nation is going bankrupt.  Pres. Obama already announced he will withdraw, starting this month, about 30,000 troops by the end of the year.  The real terror ”threats” are enemies in Pakistan and Iran that border Afghanistan and may be the reason we have been there all this time.  Suicide bombers and their like will remain in Afghanistan no matter what we do, as illustrated by the recent hotel bombing there in spite of our full number of troops.  There are also crucial gas and oil pipelines in these areas.  We still have about 50,000 troops in Iraq and retain a military presence around the world.  Like the Roman Empire before us, we are draining our capital on wars in “outlying” regions.

Neptune stresses are usually indicators of deceptive practices.  They also point to storms, fires, and high winds that will continue this month, costing FEMA more money we do not have.  Mercury will oppose Neptune at the end of the month and it is positioning to go retrograde on August 3^rd.  More people will be laid off, violence in the Middle East and in Greece will continue, and most people will realize the economy is spiraling further downward.  The financial “cabal” will try to control things, but, as Abraham Lincoln said, “You can’t fool all of the people all the time”.  A small feeling of optimism may rise as Jupiter in Taurus is trine Pluto the first week of this month, helping certain sectors of the economy, like real estate, on a temporary basis.  There will be corporate mergers that increase investment. 

Around July 4^th-5^th, Venus is trine Neptune which usually means gold and metals move downward.  They could likely move upward when Mercury in Leo is harmonizing with the lunar nodes around the 19^th and 20^th.  I would suggest that you hold onto your gold and silver placements for now during cycles of extreme fluctuation, as there will likely be stronger upward momentum in October.  All the worldwide floods, droughts, fires, and storms have created food shortages and would suggest investment in farm commodities.  The global currency crises will continue as Venus is square Uranus between the 7^th and the 8^th.    The wobbly dollar is, as I have commented in the past, only as strong as it is because of the escalating financial crises in Europe.

Final Thoughts:

 Globalism has been highly touted over the past 30 years as economically expansive and prosperous for all.  Quite the contrary has happened.  It has enabled banks and corporations to escape the “rule of law”, create trillions of dollars in derivative schemes, evade taxation that supports local national infrastructures, dump industrial and mining toxins into the environment, and divert precious clean water from farmers without fear of regulation.  It has benefitted a tiny percentage of people positioned at the top of these corporations and been damaging to the vast majority of people on our planet.  These schemes have historically been supported by both political parties in the U.S.  The severe consequences of unregulated globalized capitalism are erupting into our lives like the volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis we have been observing in recent years.

The tide is turning.  Localism is on the rise.  People are beginning to erect solar housing, local organic farms and gardens, involve themselves in their communities’ governance, and wake up to the weapons of mass deception in the media used by pundits and politicians who are financed by the darker forces.  The second American Revolution is currently playing out in the Middle East.  By next year, as Uranus is square Pluto, it will return to its country of origin: the United States.

My hope is that this will not be a revolution involving war and violence.  Instead it will be a revolution in consciousness that will open up light streams of innovation, cooperation, and spiritual evolution.  As the new constellational matrix unfolds, a new human presence will make itself known and felt.  Let’s get on with it!
