The American Dream – April Fool!

Saturn (the establishment) Opposition Uranus (the people-at-large)

For over a century, the American Dream has attracted immigrants from abroad looking for more equal opportunity to create a better life.  Just in case you haven’t noticed, this isn’t happening unless you are a global corporation or a high-income American who is getting away with making money in exotic financial instruments.  The immigrants who are here are frequently undocumented and working in horrible conditions at below minimum wage.  If you own a small business or are a (formerly) middle class or lower-income American, you are in debt over your head and your children have little or no chance of going to college.  In addition, you have either lost your job or are doing the work of the other three people in your industry who lost theirs.  Warren Buffet said a few years ago:  “There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning”.

The most recent report from the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) states that social mobility between generations is dramatically lower in the U.S. than in many other developed countries, i.e. we are ranking well below Denmark, Australia, Norway, Finland, Canada, Sweden, Germany and Spain.  We have “outsourced” manufacturing jobs to China and software jobs to India.  We have permitted the industrialization of farming creating a gigantic funnel of unhealthy foods whose results are evident.  We are obese, diabetic, riddled with cancer and heart disease and, for the first time in our history, life expectancy in the U.S. is beginning to drop.  The recently signed healthcare reform bill is watered down to its lowest terms and the Democrats had to fight tooth and nail to pass it.  Our educational system is still training people “not to think”; to be obedient to authority and work in an assembly line fashion.  We have a corporate media than brainwashes people to obsessively buy and consume products until they are broke.  In addition, they have  let go of almost all of the truth-telling journalists who would expose a government “bought out” by corporate monopolies and who has saved (with taxpayers’ money) banks and financial firms who remain trading within the great trillion dollar derivatives casino.

A Neptune World:
We live in a nebulous, shifting reality run by global corporations who have little or no obligation to the rule of law or even sovereign nations.  People who are winning in this reality are multi-nationals (especially financialists and oil companies), criminal mafias, drug traffic cartels, and terrorists.  These entities are scamming and cannibalizing the planet to the point we are reaching peak oil, peak water, peak forests, and peak topsoil.  They are getting away with poisoning our oceans and waterways, telling us it is all necessary to have energy supplies.  Pres. Obama just lifted the ban on off-shore drilling rather than plowing real money into green energy innovation.  The proposed bill to regulate banks and financial institutions (subject to the Resolution Trust) has nothing in it that regulates derivatives across borders.   In addition, America, who used to be the best innovator in the world, has fallen behind many other nations. Our young people are either escaping into an array of drugs or simply denying that that they can do anything at all about politics, the environment, or the big wide world out there.  The best young minds in our nation are using their math degrees to design computer models for derivatives trades.  The all powerful cartels are destroying lives on many different levels in a multiple of ways.   

This month’s Saturn retrograding back into Virgo, inconjunct Neptune and opposition Uranus at critical degrees, will demonstrate how conflicted, confused, and angry people are.  Mercury goes retrograde in Taurus on the 18^th (and goes direct May 11^th).  This makes the signing of contracts difficult, especially with respect to real estate or financial transactions.  New projects will likely be put on “hold” until the middle of May.

The Economy:
The big guns are hitting gold these days with everything they have got.  The dollar is strong, as I have mentioned before, because so many European nations are in danger of default that the Euro is troubled, as are many other currencies.  I think gold will make a strong comeback for a short time in May and in the September/October time period.  My take is that gold will be stronger in the years to come as the unsustainable debt drowns the U.S. government, and currency inflation will be a stark reality.  However, we have to keep in mind that gold may take some substantial hits before it soars.  I think both stock and bond markets will likely take a hit in May when Saturn is opposed both Jupiter and Uranus and square Venus.  Saturn and Pluto are the controllers from behind the scenes and these “cabals” are shamelessly manipulating the price of everything.  Periodically, they lose control.

The first signing (most publicized) horoscope of the health care bill contains the Moon in Cancer on the Ascendant, exactly opposed Pluto in the 7^th House, both square the Sun.  This chart points out in relief the factions between parties, resulting in a mutual hatred society that paralyzes the government in such a way that either nothing gets done or a watered-down version squeaks past.  Many parts of this legislation will likely be taken out at a later date.

Military Adventures:
I have deep concerns that I have expressed in previous newsletters that Israel will be getting more aggressive and these concerns have recently been born out.  The Mars (war) transit in Leo now through early June is prominent in their chart.  The Mars square Mercury between April 3^rd and 5^th points to tempers flaring, especially between Pres. Obama and the Israeli government.  It is as if they are itching to fight harder against any attempt of the Palestinians to create a two-state solution and are anxious to start a real war with Iran, no matter what the cost.  Not all citizens of Israel agree with the militant posture of their government and there may be conflict within this nation.

The Iraq election has been disputed and there will be an escalation of violence there this month.  Pakistan is torn apart within and the current government is vulnerable at this time.  Our ventures in Afghanistan may run into unexpected obstacles to our interests.  Pres Obama has been upping the ante with regard to sanctions on Iran stating that they must not be allowed to become a nuclear power.    The Leo Mars would indicate violence and even war escalating in this part of the world.

Seismic Events:
This month through August is particularly vulnerable to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.  Last month on March 23^rd, the Icelandic volcano, Eyjafjallojokull erupted, the smaller of two volcanoes below the glacier.  This volcano has not erupted in 189 years.  The super volcano there is Katla which has not erupted in 500 years.  When it did, it shut out the sun and created famine and death all over the world.  Let us all hope this is all there is to it. 

Science:
It was hard to contain my excitement when, on March 30^th, in Cern, Switzerland, the long awaited proton beam collision took place within the 17 mile Hadron collider simulating the “big bang” that theoretically created the universe.  On that date, both Mercury and Venus in Aries were sextile Neptune.  We will likely harness the energy released within these event chambers in the 2020s and the “entirely new form of energy” that I predicted in my book, “What Next” may very well have an infrastructure making it usable for humanity at large.  At that juncture, the world will truly be transformed. Interestingly, both Mars and Jupiter will hit this chart in May of 2011, adding new information and data to this experiment.  We are only beginning to peek into the vast realms of a new reality.

Final Thoughts:
Many of us today are witnessing the collapse of economies, and infrastructures that supported civilization, corrupt politicians who have been bought out by trans-national corporations, and a media that is increasingly violent and grotesque.  It brings to mind a comparison with the Roman Empire as border wars ate up their wealth, their republic morphed into a nation of corrupt emperors, and they tried to keep the discontented populace under control with the deadly spectacles of the gladiators killing each other in the arena.

However, I do not believe this is the “end of time” or of the human species.  Instead, we need to recognize that the old corrupted system has to collapse.  If we simply say “no” and step out of this way of life, those who occupy this pathway will take themselves down.  It all begins at the grass roots with a will to live a life of sharing, caring, inventing, and taking personal responsibility for living sustainably, healthfully, and in concert with the earth.  It develops and evolves with a determination to travel within a new resonance, seeing our real purpose revealed in the constellations above who used to be the distant realms of the gods, and are now welcoming us home.
